The UQ Ipswich campus is located at 11 Salisbury Road,
Ipswich, Queensland, Australia.
It is about 40 kilometres west of Brisbane, and only a
short distance south of the Ipswich city centre.

Train and Bus:
Brisbane to Ipswich
Ipswich is very accessible from Brisbane by train. Take the
green Ipswich-Bowen
Hills line, and get off at Ipswich station. From the
Brisbane CBD,this trip will take approximately 50 minutes.

The campus is around 25 minutes walk south of the station,
but it is probably easiest to take a local bus, or a taxi.
Yellow Cabs has both regular and disabled access taxis,
which can be ordered by calling 13 19 24. Taxis are often
waiting, or can be met, at the Ipswich campus taxi
rank. If you want to walk, you can generate a map using
Whereis.
The local bus is coordinated with the train arrivals, and
stops just outside the station. At Zone 'D' take a Westside
Ipswich Route 8 (Amberley) or Queensland Railways Route 9 bus
(Yamanto Trainlink) direct to the Ipswich Campus Trainlink
stop. The adult fare will be about $2.00.

Driving:
Brisbane to Ipswich:
You can use Whereis to generate a
map from your starting point to the UQ Ipswich campus (11
Salisbury Road, Ipswich). The simplest approach to the campus
from Brisbane is via the Cunningham Highway. Taking the
Ipswich motorway from Brisbane, take the turnoff on the
Cunningham Highway to Warwick. Take the Ripley exit (after
the Swanbank exit). Turn right, crossing back over the Highway
on Ripley Road, veering left onto Raceview Road. Turn right
at Cemetery Road and the campus is directly opposite: turn
left, and then right immediately on Parker Avenue. Parking
in the Avenue is free. If you miss the Warwick turnoff,
do not despair. Continue on into Ipswich proper, and again,
follow the signs to Warwick. This will take you along Warwick
Road; after passing a roundabout and the showground on your
right, turn right on Parker Avenue.
Hourly parking is available in purple zones in Car
Park 1.
