  • Hotlinked call numbers for print materials will take you to the UQ library catalogue.
  • Hotlinked titles of web resources will take you directly to the relevant web page.
  • Hotlinked titles of articles from digital journals to which UQ subscribes will take you directly to that text itself if you are using a computer within the UQ firewall; if you are using a computer outside that firewall, you may have to take the alternative route provided--through the catalogue, with the usual password access for such resources.
  • All hotlinks open in a new window.
  • (Well, I hope.)

These listings are selective. They by no means exhaust what's available: they limit themselves to what's likely to be of most use to you as a student in this course. Wherever possible, reliable e-text editions have been included--not because we expect you to read an entire novel on-screen (if you've ever tried, you'll know quite well why), but because they let you use your word processor or browser to search for particular words and phrases. (Just how many times does Marlow refer to Jim as "one of us" in Lord Jim?)

The contents of these pages will change throughout the semester--watch for the new!sign. If you find other resources you think should be here, let us know.
