Two linked and rather extraordinary points about Mimesis. It would be a hasty mistake to call them flaws in its methodology, or in the way it conceives itself. Instead, they open up the very possibility of what it does. One of them concerns the way the concept of mimesis is thought, the other the way the book Mimesis is written.
